An honest day's work exhibition May 2013

Woodstock itself is a neighborhood in transience, filled with street art, recycling and development .The style and casual grace the people have when engaged in even the most menial of tasks is captivating . These are the wheels and the cogs of our society - the rest is just grease on top .
All these things came together when I found a 1956 wage ledger and started depicting working people on its pages. It was a time of wage strikes and I planned an exhibition and to call it Wage Wars. But then I saw Sheila Webb.  She was not fighting but putting in An Honest Day's work .
